Meet the Team

Charlie J. Patterson is a distinguished public safety, homeland security, and law enforcement executive with more than 28 years of leadership experience spanning federal law enforcement, criminal investigations, intelligence operations, international affairs, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has successfully led complex operations, developed national and international partnerships, and implemented strategic initiatives aimed at reducing violent crime, combating firearms trafficking, and enhancing public safety.

Mr. Patterson retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) after more than 21 years of service, culminating in several senior executive leadership positions. As Deputy Assistant Director for the Office of Field Operations, he provided executive oversight for criminal enforcement and regulatory operations across 15 states and the District of Columbia. He also served as Special Agent in Charge of the Washington Field Division, where he directed ATF operations throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

In addition to his domestic leadership roles, Mr. Patterson served as Chief of ATF's International Affairs Division, overseeing global partnerships, intelligence-sharing initiatives, capacity-building programs, and law enforcement cooperation efforts with foreign governments and international organizations. He represented ATF before numerous federal and international entities, including the Department of State, Department of Justice, Interpol, Europol, and the United Nations.

Mr. Patterson has extensive expertise in strategic planning, risk management, public safety operations, investigations, policy development, crisis management, organizational transformation, executive leadership, and stakeholder engagement. His leadership experience includes directing large-scale criminal enforcement operations, managing international firearms trafficking investigations, supporting counterterrorism initiatives, and developing policies that strengthened operational effectiveness across multiple law enforcement disciplines.

Today, Mr. Patterson continues to support public safety and law enforcement agencies through advisory, consulting, and technology-driven solutions.
